CAP Foundation works with youth from underprivileged backgrounds across the country. Our vocational training programs enables them to find jobs which help them earn and support themselves and their families. We have found, over the last decade, there are a number of youth with great aspirations and dream of setting up their own small enterprises. CAP Foundation`s sister concern, CAP YEI has successfully evolved and delivered an entrepreneurship training and mentoring program in Kenya and CAP Foundation is now keen on offering similar opportunities to youth in India. We intend to identify our own alumni with entrepreneurial ideas and capabilities and provide them with funding assistance to set up their small businesses, while coaching and mentoring them. The time we spend with these individuals during our classroom training will enable us to understand their competencies and values and recommend them to the program as a result. We would also like to help fund the set up and expansion costs of the young entrepreneurs` small business for the first year of the business. CAP Foundation is setting up a primary school for children in the industrial area of Patancheru and Hyderabad. The area is largely populated with migrant industrial workers and CAP Foundation would like to offer English-medium schooling to their children at affordable fees. The typical scenario which we see is that the girls are required to work full time because their families are dependent on their income either to run the household or to educate a sibling. CAP Foundation would like to encourage these girls who are interested in pursuing higher education (at least part time) while working. While the educational programs may not necessarily be within the CAP ecosystem, we would like to offer fee/ tuition sponsorships to deserving girls. Those who are not successful in their course in the first attempt (ex. failing one year of college) will not be eligible for subsequent sponsorships. General fund is created and maintained by our NGO to cover general expenses not specific to a project/cause/need. This helps cover expenses vital to the running of the organisation. Expenses such as administrative expenses, various overheads are paid from the general funds. Most NGOs maintain a general fund to help them meet the donation gap created when donors donate only to a specific project/cause/need or any unexpected expense which may arises during the course of running the organisation.

Corpus fund is considered to be the capital of the organisation. The fund is generated and kept by us for the sustenance and existence of the organisation. The Corpus Fund is of paramount importance to the organisation as it helps during the times of distress. Only the interest/dividend earned from it is accumulated or utilized for general purposes. It is required for the smooth sustenance of the organisation. We are currently trying to build a corpus fund of 12 months’ of expenditure of the organisation thereby ensuring a smooth sustenance. It will help reduce financial vulnerability and thereby help us achieve our goals.
