TATA STEEL RURAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY
EMPLOAYBILITY SKILLS TRAINING FOR PROJECT AFFECTED YOUTH IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TATA STEEL RURAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY
“Every company has a special continuing responsibility towards the people of the area in which it is located. The company should spare its doctors, managers to advise the people of the village and supervise development undertaken by co-operative effort between them and the company” -JRD Tata(1969)
Tata Steel, one of the pioneering corporate sectors to evolve social responsibility and adhering to J.N. Tata, the founder’s dreams, established Tata Steel Rural Development Society (T.S.R.D.S.) in 1979 to share its resources with the rural areas within which the company operates. The areas of operation extend to mines and collieries, across Jharkhand and Orissa
This partnership program between CAP and TSRDS offered new economy livelihood training and placement services to those youth who have been affected on account of the planned Tata steel plants being commissioned in Orissa.
The programme is offered at Kalinganagar and Joda districts in Orissa.
