PFIZER AND APARNA TRUST
USAID had initiated the discussion leading to partnership between CAP, Pfizer and Aparna Trust in November 2009.
The primary objective of this agreement was to provide 90 youth to Aparna Trust for further training and placement in the health care sector at Aparna Trust hospital. Since it was felt that training program for 90 youth in a single sector in a year would not be feasible, CAP suggestedto extend the training program to other new economy sectors as well. CAP was expected to provide employability skills to 300 youth at Karnal (Haryana) as part of this agreement.
Under this alliance Aparna and CAP were jointly responsible for identification and enrolment of the youth in the training program. The health care sector training by CAP was for 45 days after which Aparna provided training for additional 45 days at its facility.
