Overview
EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS TRAINING FOR PROJECT AFFECTED YOUTH IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LAFARGE INDIA (NIDHEE TRUST)
Lafarge India is a subsidiary of the French Building Materials major, Lafarge. Lafarge entered the Indian market in 1999, with the acquisition of the cement business of Tata Steel.
In 2009, Lafarge conducted a Community Needs study wherein Employability emerged as one of the most vital needs. To meet the needs for employability, Lafarge partnered with CAP Foundation to initiate the EkMouka Employability Program for the local village youth in certain districts of Jharkhand, Karnataka and Chattisgarh.
Location
The program reached out to youth in in Arasmeta and Sonadigh in Chattisgarh, Gulbarga in Karnataka, and Jojobera in Jharkand.
